Giambi Pens One-Year Deal With Oakland
After seven years in pinstripes, Jason Giambi goes back to the place his big league career began.
Giambi signed a one-year deal with Oakland on Wednesday.
The 38-year-old spent the first seven years of his career with the A's before coming to the Bronx in 2002.
The Bombers decided not to renew his contract after last season.
Giambi was a three-time all-star and hit 209 homers during his time with the Yanks but also had several injury-plagued seasons and was mired in the middle of baseball's steroids controversy.
